A city is battling a record-breaking heat wave for several days when the power goes out for twelve hours. What follows is a mosaic of deprivation, fear, humor, survival and reflection in over 50 mini-plays featuring 100 characters.

A group of forty-somethings take their annual trip to "Red Bud," a championship motocross race. The group has nearly rung their mutual friendship dry and uses the overnight camping party to relive past glories, play asinine games and beat the holy hell out of each other. Frustration, weirdness and old baggage rapidly comes to the surface and old friendships die hard.

Bessie, Alice and Margaret have two things in common: they are married to George Joseph Smith and they are dead. Surfacing from the bathtubs they were drowning in, the three breathless brides gather evidence against their womanizing, murderous husband by reliving the shocking events leading up to their deaths.
