Ariel is delighted to be joining the Signal Ensemble theatre! Her first appearance on the Signal stage was in 2013 as Amber in the world premier of Successors by Jon Steinhagen. The following spring she performed multiple roles in the Chicago premier of Plainsong adapted by Eric Scmiedl from Kent Haruf’s award winning novel.
Working as an actress and freelance circus performer, she has had the pleasure of performing with Fox Valley Repertory, Lifeline, The Actor's Gymnasium, The Right Brain Project, Navy Pier, Oak Park Theatre Festival, Bristol Renaissance Faire, Dream Logic Theatreworks, and Discovery Movement Theatre for many years in her home state of South Dakota. She is Co-founding Artistic Director and CEO of Imaginez (pronounced ih-maj-in-ay), a touring cirque company that is currently in its second year. In addition to providing a multitude of walkabout event entertainment, Imaginez has created and produced three touring original works in which Ariel performs and co-directs: Pyro & Penumbra, Take Flight: an Adventure in Cirque, and Steele for Hyre.
Ariel is a graduate of the BFA Acting program from Northern Illinois University and has studied abroad at the Moscow Art Theatre. When not performing, Ariel likes playing with her kitty, Lucy, and going on grand epic adventures.
