Aaron Snook has been an ensemble member since Signal’s inaugural season, joining after appearing as Claudio in Much Ado About Nothing. Other performances with Signal include Garrett Paige in Aces, Brian Jones in Aftermath, Cousin Lymon in Ballad Of The Sad Cafe, Gordon Lowther in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Rick in Six Degrees of Separation, Eddie in Fool For Love, Laertes in Hamlet, Dan Woolf in Closer, Vladimir in Waiting For Godot, a slew of characters in Catch-22 and Leslie in Seascape, for which he was nominated for a Jeff Citation award. As a director, he has worked on The Dumb Waiter and The Birthday Party, as well as assistant directing She Stoops to Conquer, and will direct Krapp’s Last Tape this season under the Ensemble Project banner. As a dramaturg, he has worked on Motion, Ballad of the Sad Café, Aftermath and Accidental Death of an Anarchist. Other Chicago performing credits include The Picture of Dorian Gray and The Island of Dr. Moreau at Lifeline Theatre, A Devil Inside at RBP, and Only the Sound at Chicago Dramatists, where he is an Associate Artist. Outside of Chicago, he has been a member of Footprint on the Sun in Los Angeles and the Camden Shakespeare Company in Camden, Maine. A graduate of Duke University with a double major in drama and English, Aaron also studied with the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. He is currently an MFA candidate in Theatre Directing at Northwestern. Aaron is represented by Gray Talent Group.
